The "A" comes with thrills and frills. A helicopter tour starts the show. Luxury, attention to detail, and a private experience exemplify the "A" package. The 'B' Package: So you just want to ride and play in the water to relax?
The "B" in Heaven Hawaiian sport vacation is streamlined to a steady diet of mountain biking and water sports, with hiking options available to you at any time. Relaxation is required. It is the Big Island, after all and the pace is slow until we get on the bike. The "B" comes with our favorite KAMUELA SUITE LODGINGS. Guide(s) and driver(s) take you directly to the best rides and beaches, away from the crowds. Bike rentals are available. Simple waterports equipment is provided except for optional windsurf, kayak or SCUBA rentals. Comfortable transport for you and your equipment is provided. Same roomy accommodations and staff as the "A" Package.
Accommodations, Activities and Services
Small groups allow flexibility in planning. Each party decides, with help from our staff, just how they want to approach ride opportunities and lodgings. Daily weather and special cultural or scienfific opportunities are taken into consideration before each day's activities. Your vacation fits you, not the other way around. Dreamride makes sense of the possibilities, giving appropriate structure and efficient momentum to your time on the island. This is what we do.
Standard "A" and "B" packages include guided activities for each of the ten days. Eleven nights of accommodations are provided. You will find the suites to be clean, private, comfortable, spacious and very homey, with a sunny kitchenette, large bathroom, deck, and an awesome view of two volcanos and the Kohala Coast. Incredible mountain biking is right out the door and the first few mornings are spent exploring the rolling green hills, lava fields and tropical forests of North Kohala within minutes of "home base."
Your private guides will lead, show or drive you to suitable eateries. Luxury accommodations allow Dreamride to offer the services of one or both of our PRIVATE CHEFS. Breakfasts and box lunches are always provided. All island transportation, including evening shuttles, is provided for both packages.
All sports equipment is provided for the "A" package and available as rentals for the "B" package. "B" packages focus solely on mountain biking and watersports activities, while "A" packages offer a choice of canal kayak, windsurf, submarine ride, summit tour of Mauna Kea, whale watching (seasonal) or SCUBA. The "A" package includes a guided helicopter tour of the island with the option for doors-off aerial photography.
Interpretive visits to sacred, geological, historic and photographic places of interest are coordinated as part of travel to and from trails around the island.
When it comes to mountain biking and watersports, both the "A" and "B" packages can be as hardcore or mellow as you want them to be. Small groups allow us to cater to personal skills and interests and things that change. Mountain bike days will include a tour of Volcano National Park, technical 4WD roads to lonely beaches and twisting rainforest singletrack. Waterfalls and swimming pools are destinations. Ride through Waipio Valley, on rolling trails in North Kohala and across Parker Ranch on Mana Road, then Kayak across Kealakekua Bay to snorkel with dolphins at Captain Cook Monument. Swim with turtles, dolphins, and magical tropical fish in secret beach locations along the Kona and Kohala Coasts. Skills instruction is available.
Flights to and from Hawaii are not included, though flight coordination is available.
Note: It is not advisable for pregnant women, small children, or persons with respiratory problems to visit too close to volcano vents.

Prices listed here include standard accommodations in HOMEY APARTMENT SUITES at 2600 feet of elevation in the old town of Kamuela within walking distance of the best restaurants on the island. Reservations should be made at least six months in advance. One year advanced booking may be required for peak winter months.
